GWL Terrein

The GWL Terrein is a car-free residential area in Amsterdam comprising different homes over six hectares. All blocks were designed by renowned architects, who created an ecological district in the city. Previously to 1997, the site was used as the Municipal Water Supply in Amsterdam.

INTRODUCTION

The Market and Octavia area is located in San Francisco, California. The Area Plan was developed from the Market and Octavia Neighbourhood Plan, under the City’s Better Neighbourhoods Program. The main goal of these initiatives is to make changes sensitive to existing patterns within the city and region, through objectives and policies.

INTRODUCTION
The Hammarby Sjöstad in Sweden is an area of 200 hectares that went through urban development between 2004 and 2016. The project holds approximately 12,700 homes, 400,00 square metres of business space and 150,000 square metres of workplaces.

Greenwich Millennium Village
The Greenwich Millenium Village is located in the Greenwich area in East London. It is next to the O2 Arena and near the Canary Wharf neighbourhood. The project was established in 1997, after years of urban development in the area. The goal was to reintroduce the original greenery in the site while developing sustainable homes.
